St George’s Day 2023

Date: 23rd Apr 2023 Author: Baloo

A district event saw Scout Groups from across Warrington East and West descend upon Victoria Park in Warrington to celebrate St George’s Day, patron saint of England and the Scout movement.

The parade was well-attended for the march around the park. Beaver, Cub and Scout sections from our Group were all represented and we are proud to say that each child and young person was a great ambassador for our Group and the Scout Association generally. Plenty of happy dog walkers, strollers and Sunday footballers smiling and waving at the sight of our brilliant youngsters.

Unfortunately, the ever-threatening weather, which had held off during the parade, finally arrived to put pay to the planned picnic and games afterwards, but overall it was a good event.
